aaronkoshy.com is a personal portfolio site run by Aaron Koshy. By using it you agree to the few terms below. They are short because the site is simple.
What this site is
The site shows my work and hosts a number of side projects: sports statistics dashboards, a financial data terminal, a browser game built from map data, and a few small experiments. They are hobby projects that I build and maintain in my spare time.
Provided as-is
Everything here is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind. Pages may change, break, or disappear without notice. I make no promise that the site will be available, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose.
Data and figures are not advice
The statistics, prices and other figures on the project pages come from third-party sources (for example Understat, ESPN, official league data, Finnhub and Alpha Vantage) and from my own calculations. They can be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Nothing on this site is financial, betting, medical or professional advice of any kind, and you should not make decisions based on it. The hairline page in particular is a novelty and says nothing about your health.
Acceptable use
You may browse and link to any page. Please do not:
- attempt to break into, disrupt or overload the site or the server it runs on;
- scrape or bulk-download the site's data, or hit its endpoints automatically at a rate a person could not;
- use the site in a way that breaks any law that applies to you.
Automated defences may block addresses that do these things, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Content and code
The design, text and code of this site are mine unless stated otherwise. Where a project's source code is published on GitHub, the licence in that repository governs the code. Third-party libraries and fonts used on the site remain under their own licences (for example three.js under the MIT licence, and the Syne and Plus Jakarta Sans typefaces under the SIL Open Font License). Team names, player names, logos and images shown on the sports pages belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.
Links to other sites
Some pages link to or load resources from other websites. I do not control those sites and am not responsible for their content or practices.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, I am not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or reliance on anything in it. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the site, which is nothing.
Privacy
How the site handles data is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, and any dispute will be handled by the courts there.
Changes
I may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the current version; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
